Terms of Use
Welcome to Court Clash. These Terms of Use (ToU) apply to the Service, i.e. the Court Clash mobile application and the courtclash.app website. By using the app or the website, you accept these ToU. Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose and acceptance
The Service is the Court Clash mobile app and the courtclash.app website. It is for playing basketball, mainly 1v1: start a match, including by scanning a QR code, enter the score and have both players confirm it, view the Elo ranking, create or join a private league, enter a tournament, find a court, invite a friend and read a basketball news feed. By creating an account or using the app or website, you acknowledge that you have read these ToU and agree to comply with them. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Use of the Service
You agree to use the app and website in accordance with applicable laws and in a fair manner. The following are strictly prohibited: any fraudulent, abusive or illegal use, creating fake accounts, manipulating scores or rankings, harassing other users, or any action that undermines the security or proper functioning of the Service. Website content is for informational purposes; the app is intended for organising and tracking 1v1 matches.
3. User account
Access to certain features of the Service (including match recording and rankings) requires creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Intellectual property
All content of the Service (app and website), including but not limited to texts, images, logos, videos, graphics and software, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights held by Court Clash or its licensors. Any unauthorised reproduction, modification, distribution or use is strictly prohibited.
5. Liability
We strive to ensure the proper functioning of the Service and the accuracy of the information provided. We cannot, however, guarantee uninterrupted availability or the absence of errors. We disclaim any liability for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
6. External links
The website may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. app stores). We are not responsible for the content, practices or availability of these sites. Access to these sites is at your own risk.
7. Content published on social networks and AI-generated content
Court Clash publishes basketball videos on its official TikTok and Instagram accounts, some of which are entirely generated by artificial intelligence. These videos are labeled as AI-generated content, in accordance with TikTok and Meta rules. They are published through the internal CourtClash Publisher tool, restricted to the Court Clash team, and only after manual approval. Unless stated otherwise, people and situations shown in an AI-generated video are fictional. These posts comply with TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, as well as Instagram's Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. To report content, contact contact@courtclash.app.
8. Court Clash+ subscription
The app may offer a paid yearly subscription, Court Clash+, taken out in the iOS or Android app through the App Store or Google Play. The website does not sell this subscription and does not collect payment. The price shown in the store, any free trial, renewal, cancellation and refund requests are governed by the terms of sale and by Apple's or Google's terms. Deleting your Court Clash account does not by itself cancel the store subscription. When the subscription is not enabled in your version of the app, the open features remain usable without a purchase.
9. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these ToU at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page (or in the app). We encourage you to check this page regularly. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
